Big K.R.I.T returns with Subenstein

Big K.R.I.T has been laying low for a while. The last full project we got from K.R.I.T was his second album Cadalactica, in 2013. Since then he’s parted ways with Def Jam and been independent, working on his latest project. 4eva Is a Mighty Long Time, his third studio album, dropped last week and features the track Subenstein.

Jee wiz, this shit bumps. It might be the best of all the My Sub editions. The hook is catchy and gets stuck in your head immediately. K.R.I.T manages to make a song about his bass actually have bars. His southern drawl  flows on the track before the instrumental breaks into a slow smooth west coast beat. He then proceeds to drop a second hook that rivals the first.

I can’t hear no lames over this bang, so please don’t ask me
‘Bout turning down, all this all this sound that it surround
Fuck the law, I’m gon let it bang til’ it crack the ground
